What these PDF tools do

This hub lists the PDF jobs the site actually ships: compress a photo-heavy PDF, turn a simple .docx into PDF, merge files, extract text to Word or Excel, combine JPEG or PNG pages into one PDF, export PDF pages as JPEG, rotate every page, or split a page range. Each tool page states its own limit, usually 25 MB and a page cap where rendering would exhaust the tab.

Compress PDF recompresses embedded photos and leaves a text-only file unchanged. PDF to Word and PDF to Excel read the text layer; they do not OCR a scan. Word to PDF is an HTML render of a .docx, so complex columns and text boxes can shift. Merge and split keep the page content and do not redesign it.

How to use it

  1. Open the tool that matches the job. Do not compress a PDF if the portal asked for separate page images.
  2. Add the file from your device. Stay under the size and page limit printed on that tool.
  3. Run the action, then open the download before you attach it. Check that text is still selectable and photos are readable.
  4. If the result is still too large for email or a form, run Compress PDF on the output. A text-only PDF will not shrink here.

Questions

Will a scanned certificate become editable Word text?
No. PDF to Word and PDF to Excel only read text that is already in the PDF. A photo of a page needs OCR software elsewhere.
Does merge change the order of pages inside each file?
No. You reorder whole files. Pages inside each PDF stay in their original order.
Are password-protected PDFs supported?
No. Unlock the PDF in a reader that knows the password, then use these tools on the unlocked copy.
