Sign a PDF with a Visual Signature

Draw, type, or upload a signature and flatten it onto the PDF. This is a visual mark, not a certified digital signature.

This stamps a picture of a signature into the page. It does not create a DSC, Aadhaar eSign, or a certificate a verifier can check.

What this signature is — and what it is not

Sign PDF places a picture of a signature on the pages you choose and saves a normal PDF. You can draw with a mouse or a finger, type a name in Great Vibes, Allura, or Dancing Script, or upload a photo of a signature and drop the near-white paper background. Drag the stamp, resize it, and put it on more than one page. An optional date is drawn as ordinary text under the stamp. The download is flattened with pdf-lib: the mark is part of the page content, not a signature field you can click to inspect a certificate.

This is a visual e-signature. It is not a certified digital signature (DSC), not an Aadhaar eSign, and not a USB token signature. A bank, court, or government portal that asks for a DSC will not treat this file as one. Use it when a form wants a signed-looking PDF, such as a letter or a simple declaration, and when you are allowed to sign that document. Do not use it to imitate someone else’s signature.

The PDF and the signature image stay in the browser. Typed names are drawn on a canvas on your device. The three signature fonts download only on this page, and only when you choose Type. They are font files, not your document. Nothing from the PDF is sent with that font request. If the PDF is password-protected, unlock it first. Placement works by keyboard as well as by drag: arrow keys nudge the selected stamp, and plus or minus changes its size.

How to use it

  1. Choose a PDF under 25 MB and 40 pages.
  2. Draw, type, or upload the signature, then choose Use this signature.
  3. Place it on a page. Drag or use the nudge buttons. Add the date if you want it on the page.
  4. Download the flattened PDF and open it. The stamp should be visible and the text underneath should still be readable.

The PDF and signature image are processed in this tab and are not uploaded. Analytics records only that the sign tool ran, not the file name, the typed name, or the page contents.

Questions

Is this a legally valid digital signature?
No. It is a visual mark drawn into the PDF. A DSC or eSign from a licensed provider is a different thing, and this page does not create one.
Can I sign more than one page?
Yes. Place the stamp, move to another page, and place it again. Each stamp can be moved on its own.
Does uploading a signature photo remove the background?
Near-white pixels are made transparent so a scan on white paper does not leave a grey box. Dark paper or a heavy shadow may still show. Crop the scan tighter if it does.
