What is in Identity & Utilities
This category mixes two kinds of page. Passport Photo crops a portrait toward the 3.5 × 4.5 cm ratio used for many Indian passport prints and can lay copies on an A4 sheet. QR Generator builds a static QR for a URL, text, phone number, or WiFi network and downloads a PNG. The other pages are small text utilities: Base64, URL encoding, HTML entities, SHA-256 hashing, and UUID v4.
The passport crop is a preparation aid. Passport Seva Kendra appointments often take the photograph on site, and the instruction booklet can change. A QR code is only as useful as the text you put in it; test a print before you publish it. WiFi passwords with unusual characters sometimes produce codes that phones will not join.
How to use it
- For a passport print, start from a straight-on photo on a plain background, then crop in Passport Photo and compare it with the current Passport Seva booklet.
- For a QR code, choose URL, text, phone, or WiFi, enter the value, and scan the preview with your phone before downloading.
- For an encoder or hash, paste the text, run the action, and copy the result. Hashing is one-way; encoding is not encryption.
- UUID v4 values are random identifiers. They are not sequential and they are not a password.
Passport photos, QR text, and the encoder inputs are handled in the browser. They are not uploaded to GetFixMyFile for processing.
