Who runs this site
GetFixMyFile is built and run by Naman Khamparia in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India. He is an IT manager with 12+ years in IT infrastructure. He writes the tools and reads support mail at support@getfixmyfile.com. There is no separate company office or support desk.
The site lives at getfixmyfile.com. It is an independent web project — not a product from a large software vendor. The public catalog currently lists 51 tools.
Why it was built. Common jobs — shrinking a PDF for email, resizing a photo for an online form, merging scans — often mean uploading files elsewhere or paying for software you use once. GetFixMyFile lets you open a page, finish the task in your browser, download the result, and leave. No account required; downloads are not watermarked.
How We Build & Test Our Tools
Browser-first processing
Each of the 51 tools is a web page. PDF and image tools run in your browser with libraries such as pdf-lib, PDF.js, mammoth, and browser-image-compression — that work happens in your tab, not on a file server we operate.
Privacy-first approach
When you select a file, it stays on your device while the page processes it. We do not run file-storage servers for tool jobs. Site analytics and ads are separate; see the Privacy Policy for those details.
Testing before release
Before we publish a change, we run tools with real files — PDFs, Word documents, phone photos, and form-sized images. We check upload, processing, download, and the limits listed on each tool page. We test on current Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge, plus mobile browsers for photo tools.
Continuous improvements
Bug reports and suggestions go to support@getfixmyfile.com. When we can reproduce an issue, we fix the tool or the wording and bump the site version noted below. There is no fixed release calendar — we work through feedback as it arrives.
Honest limitations
Every tool page shows supported formats and known limits before you upload. PDF to Word extracts text only. PDF to Excel works on text-based rows, not scanned pages. Compress PDF shrinks embedded photos and leaves text-only files unchanged. We update that notice when we find a gap between the tool and the description.
