Word to PDF Converter Online
Convert a .docx file to PDF in your browser — best for simple letters, resumes, and form drafts.
Best for text, tables and simple layout. Complex Word features (SmartArt, text boxes, tracked changes, macros) may not match. Word page breaks, section breaks, headers, and footers are not reproduced. Content flows onto the next A4 page when it no longer fits.

Guides, tips & FAQ
Word to PDF for applications and email
Job applications, university forms, and email submissions often require PDF instead of an editable Word file. Upload a .docx file and download a PDF created in your browser — the document is not sent to our servers. Complex tables, headers, and fonts may shift compared to Microsoft Word on desktop. Simple letters and single-column documents convert most reliably. If the PDF is too large for an upload field or email, compress it afterward. Use .docx rather than legacy .doc when possible.
Conversion tip
Conversion Tip: For best results, use standard fonts and simple layouts. We convert your Word document to HTML first, which preserves most text, headings, and images.
Note: .docx recommended (.doc may fail). This tool accepts .docx uploads only; legacy .doc is not reliably supported in the browser.
How to convert Word to PDF online
- Upload your .docx file: Drop it into the dashed area or choose one from your device (up to 25MB).
- Convert in your browser: The document is read locally, converted to HTML, then rendered to PDF — nothing is uploaded to our servers.
- Download the PDF: Review the result, then download. Use Try another to convert a different file.
- Optional — compress: If the PDF is too large for an upload field or email attachment, run it through our Compress PDF tool afterward.
Layout, fonts, tables & images (honest limits)
Conversion uses Mammoth (Word → HTML) and html2pdf.js (HTML → PDF) entirely in your browser. This is not Microsoft Word's native PDF export. Expect differences with:
- Hindi and complex scripts: Non-Latin fonts and Indic text may render incorrectly or fall back to system fonts if the original font is not available in the browser.
- Tables and columns: Multi-column layouts, nested tables, and precise cell borders often shift or wrap differently than in Word.
- Images: Embedded photos usually appear, but sizing, wrapping, and resolution depend on how Mammoth maps them to HTML — not pixel-perfect Word fidelity.
- Headers, footers, and page breaks: May not match print layout from desktop Word.
For mission-critical formatting (legal contracts, design-heavy resumes), export PDF from Microsoft Word or LibreOffice on desktop and use this tool for simple letters, forms, and drafts.
